Abstract: Botany is a basic course of biological science in normal university, which gives practice and theory equal value. With the widespread use of smartphones in college students, some new ideas are introduced to university teaching reform. This paper introduces the uses of smartphone cameras, smartphone App and optional smartphone accessories in botany teaching practice. The advantages and disadvantages of smartphone in teaching practice are discussed.
