Abstract: Botany is a basic, specialized, compulsory pre-course in many universities and occupies an important position in life science field. In view of current students personal characteristic and the actualities of traditional botany teaching, the author practiced some measures for teaching reform in these four following aspects during his practical teaching process such as the "flipped classroom" teaching practice to exert the active role of students; the "programs guidance" teaching practice to cultivate the students scientific thinking; the simple "micro" and "mooc" teaching practice, to stimulate students interest in learning; and some modern "apps" teaching practice to promote convenient communication between teachers and students. It is found that these practices have significant promotion role in prolongation of botany teaching content, increasement of student participation in learning and training of ideation and innovation ability of students and it had got a great result in our teaching.
