Application of DNA shuffling of plant resistance genes in genetics experimental teaching

Abstract: Genetics experiment is a core experiment course in life science, medicine, agriculture and other related fields. In order to stimulate students′ interest in learning genetics experiment, some genetics experiments about scientific research were designed in this class. In this comprehensive experiment, plant resistance genes were synthesized by DNA shuffling technology. Gene fragments were cloned from different rice varieties, and new genes were obtained by artificial evolution using the DNA shuffling technology. Through these comprehensive experiments, students can understand the basic operation of molecular genetics and the basic phenomena and laws of genetics at the molecular level. Compared with the traditional genetic experiment, students can also improve the ability to carry out scientific research. This will provide a platform for the cultivation of innovative talents.
