Comparative analysis of intrinsic disordered proteins predictors based on random sequences

Abstract: tIntrinsic disordered proteins (IDPs) are proteins that lack fixed 3D structures but perform important biological functions. Comprehensive evaluation of the prediction results of different IDPs predictors is basically important for IDPs studies.In this study, two kinds of IDPs predictors with different theoretical basis were analyzed based on randomly produced protein sequences. The results indicated that the prediction results are different to different degree based on each kind of predictor.It is difficult to decide which is better for IDPs prediction programs, more efficient prediction methods should be proposed in future studies.
