Abstract: Smart phone and WeChat app has been very popular. So, to use smart phone as multimedia terminal device and to apply WeChat Official account platform as a means of communication will achieve instant messaging between teachers and students at any time and any place. Using of smart phone and WeChat app in the teaching of zoological field practice would be a nice approach for those teaching problems. Official platform will enable media courseware be pushed and make it convenient to answer questions of students; it will achieve broadcasting instant information of species distribution and give a guidance to students for their investigation and observation in field work.
