Abstract: Natural medicinal chemistry is an important subject for students of pharmacy. The objective of experimental teaching of natural medicinal chemistry is to cultivate comprehensive experimental skill and improve the innovative ability of students. To improve the single teaching methods and explore the application effect of diversified teaching methods in the experimental teaching of natural medicinal chemistry, the diversified teaching methods include PBL teaching, using comparative experiment, introducing thought experiment and adding interactive discussion were applied. By the diversified teaching methods, the students′s experimental skills were improved. The questionnaire results showed that most of the students were satisfied with the diversified teaching methods. The diversified teaching methods in the experimental teaching of natural medicinal chemistry can stimulate students′ interest in learning, develop students′ experimental operation skills, scientific literacy and innovative spirit, and improve the teaching quality in experimental teaching of natural medicinal chemistry.
