Abstract: CD44, a kind of transmembrane receptor glycoprotein, belongs to adhesion molecular family, and it can be divided into standard CD44 (CD44s) and variant CD44 (CD44v) according to the expression of CD44 exon. Numerous researches confirmed that the abnormal expression of CD44v was closely related to the occurrence and development of many kinds of cancers, especially the selective expression of CD44v in metastatic tumors and its interaction with the cytoskeleton. As the CD44v had many complex forms of alternative splicing variants, a comprehensive comparison of homologous sequences of CD44v in NCBI was carried out from the structure, and the research progress and target therapy of CD44v in different tumors was comprehensively expounded.
