Abstract: veterinary clinical diagnosticsis a compulsory basic course of the veterinary profession, which not only contains abundant theoretical knowledge, but also involves a number of experimental skills. It plays a very important role in the talent training of veterinary profession. This article aimed at the problems and shortcomings of traditional experimental teaching, and exploring new teaching ideas which suitable for veterinary professional development through the reforms of platform construction, teaching programs, diagnostic techniques and examination mechanism. The reforms improved the enthusiasm and initiative of students, which achieved good experimental results, and also would provide a reference for reforming of other experimental teaching methods.
