Abstract: Siraitia grosvenii is a special economic crop in Guangxi Autonomous Region and its main varieties are susceptible to root-knot nematodes, but the change of metabolites of Siraitia grosvenorii infected by M. incognita in the early stage was poorly understood. In this study, non-target analysis based on liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry was used to analyze the metabolic profile of the roots of Siraitia grosvenii seedlings infected by M. incognita. Principal component analysis and orthogonal partial least-squares discrimination analysis were also carried out for pattern recognition. The result showed that a clear separation was achieved between the control and treated with M. incognita at 7 days post-inoculate. Statistical significance was assessed with a t-test and a 2-fold change and 16 metabolites in root extracts of Siraitia grosvenii changed significantly in the level P<0.05. These metabolites were mainly related to glucose metabolism, lipid and amino acid metabolism. The result here can provide insight into interaction between Siraitia grosvenii and M.incognita in early phase.
