Abstract: On the basis of analyzing problems existing in academic and practical teaching of hydrobiology, a series of teaching reforms，optimization of teaching content, careful preparing of courseware, improvement of traditional teaching mode, compilation of experimental teaching materials, construction of specimens library and instruments, improvement of the assessment methods included，were promoted. The purposes of mobilizing the enthusiasm of students, developing comprehensive ability, and improving hydrobiological teaching effect have been achieved.
