Abstract: In recent years, because of the microbiology are growing important, however, the traditional microbiology experiment still has many shortages, especially for some students who are in engineering college and university. The experiment of soil microbial system evolution was taken as an example. The reform and exploration were carried out from the aspects of experimental teaching content（microbiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, computer programming, large database use, etc）, experimental teaching concept（under the guidance of teachers, the design of independent experimental scheme of scientific research level requirements） and experimental teaching assessment mechanism（experimental operation, experimental results, opening report, thesis defense, research report, test report and assessment mechanism）. The results showed that the new experimental teaching mode was more conducive to training students′ practical ability, innovation ability and comprehensive ability, and their teaching effects have been greatly improved.
