Abstract: It is important and also difficult for college students in such majors as veterinary science to study knowledge of animal virus taxonomy. Finding a suitable method to learn classification of a great number of veterinary viruses with abstract concept and their current taxonomic status as soon as possible plays a simply leading role in understanding structure, proliferative characteristic, pathogenicity, antigenicity and variability of a particular virus and conducting viral isolation and culture, detection and identification, vaccine development and disease control. The author made out a set of formulas in rhyme covering conventional veterinary viruses and found it useful for students to realize rapid memorization in the teaching trials.
