Abstract: Rhinopithecus brelichi is an endangered species of colobinae endemic to Mountain Fanjing of Guizhou, China. Here we reviewed the current status and progresses made in scientific research on Rhinopithecus brelich regarding to its habitat, diet, behavior, social structure, as well as the molecular genetics and genomic studies. The result would be a useful resource for studies, including biomedical research on R. brelich and its related species. We also provided some recommendations on conservation of this endangered animal.
