Abstract: This article combined with the current conservation status quo and literature to summarize its living habits and population status. The main resistance in the development of the crested ibis population from both biological factors and environmental factors was analyzed. It specifically analyzed genetic factors, inbreeding, sex ratio, reintroduction, habitat and the impact of human activities on the development of the crested ibis population. The existing problems were pointed out at this stage and the suggestions were put forward to provide scientific guidance，such as continuing to adhere to the current reintroduction plan, while improving artificial breeding techniques and theoretical basis for the future protection of the crested ibis and population restoration and the stable growth of the crested ibis population.
