Abstract: The latest research progress of animal antibacterial peptides in immunoregulation mechanisms was mainly introduced based on the MAPK signaling pathway in recent years. The research status of three MAPK subpathways, JNK, P38 MAPK and ERK, and the immunological regulation effects of animal antimicrobial peptides based on the MAPK pathway were summarized. The mechanisms by which antimicrobial peptides from mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and crustaceans through phosphorylation of MAPK pathway to involve in immune responses were also elucidated. The immunomodulatory mechanisms of various animal antimicrobial peptides based on the MAPK pathway were arranged and summarized, hoping to provide a literature reference for the comprehensive and in-depth research of the mechanism of antimicrobial peptides and the acting targets of antimicrobial peptides in the field of medicine.
