Abstract: Under the current background of cultivating innovative, comprehensive and compound talents, the proportion of basic verification experiments in molecular genetics experiments in the curriculum of biology majors is becoming less and less. However, the lower foundation determines the superstructure. Our university has carried out corresponding teaching reforms and innovations on the molecular genetics genotype verification experiment in the genetic experiment course of biotechnology, and added curriculum ideology and politics elements of the course,aiming to integrate the elements of cultivating students’ scientific thinking and innovation ability into the basic verification course, so as to cultivate students’ interest in learning, mobilize the enthusiasm for class, improve students’ innovative thinking ability and practical ability, and lay a foundation for the selection and training of top-notch innovative talents in basic disciplines of the “Plan for strengthening basic disciplines”.
