Practices of stereoscopic teaching mode on bilingual curriculum of botany

摘要: 植物学是一门传统的生物学基础学科。进行植物学双语教学的目标是:不仅提高学生专业英语水平,而且增强他们利用英语进行植物学专业学习的能力。为了提高植物学双语教学质量,培养出具有更扎实基本理论和创新精神、创新能力的专业人才,在教学中按照立体化教学的模式,更新教学理念,拓展教学内容,并结合多样化的教学方法和手段,进行了植物学双语教学的实践。

Abstract: Botany is one traditional subject of biology. Bilingual teaching on botany should be able not only to provide chances for students to practice biological English, but also to activate their motivation to learn plant biology via foreign language. In order to improve the quality of bilingual teaching on botany, further promote the innovation abilities of students and their comprehensive understanding on basic theories in plant biology, a stereoscopic teaching mode, integrated with teaching concepts, teaching contents, and teaching methodology, has been applied to the curriculum of botany.
