Application of free-hand sectioning technique in experimental teaching reform of pharmaceutical botany

摘要: 药用植物学的课程目标要求学生应熟练掌握植物显微结构的观察方法,显微结构观察是以徒手切片为基础的,但在实践教学过程中存在着实验多为验证型、课堂以教师为主导、考核方式简单、材料单一的现状,不能达到实验教学的目标。通过实验材料自采、改进徒手切片技术、改革教学方法、改变考核方式,提高了学生实践技能,优化了实验效果,达到了课程教学目标,同时对实验改革成效做了简单总结,展望了药用植物学实验教学改革的方向。

Abstract: The course objectives of pharmaceutical botany require students to skillfully master the observation method of plants microstructure, which is based on free-hand sectioning technique. However, there are mostly verified experiments, teacher-led classrooms, simple assessment methods, and a single material in the process of practical teaching, which cannot achieve the experimental teaching goal. Through self provided of experimental materials, improvement of free-hand sectioning technique, reform of teaching methods, and change of assessment methods, students′ practical skills were improved, experimental effects were optimized, and the teaching goals were achieved. At the same time, a brief summary of the experimental reforms effects was made. The reform direction is forecasted in experimental teaching of pharmaceutical botany.
