Abstract: This study aims to improve the efficiency and effect of biochemistry teaching through properly reforming the teaching methods. We try to establish a systematic teaching method through guidance, inquiry, analysis and summary, build a learning mode based on group’s collaboration, and construct an examination pattern by partially suspecting the collaborated groups. The results showed that dependent on such reformation, we preliminarily improved the students' initiative and enthusiasm to learn biochemistry and elevated the capacity of teachers to extract the key points of every chapters of biochemistry. Thereby, such reformation will benefit to improve the efficiency and effect of biochemistry teaching and has a potential value in other course’s teaching.

Key words: biochemistry, reforming the teaching method, exploring questions, studying by group collaboration, suspecting the groups
