Abstract: This study shows the development achievements of microalgal industry from microalgal species and strains resources protection, large scale cultivation, harvesting and the application on human nutritional products, animal feeds and baits, CO2 capture and utilization, algal blooms control and other aspects in our country. Meanwhile, it showed the information of the 1st General Meeting and the 2nd Academic Symposium of Chinese Algae Industry Association Microalgae Branch were held in Hefei during 18-20, May, 2016. At last, we made suggestions about important issues on developments of microalgal industry during the thirteenth five-year plan in China we should focus on.
