Amylin actions in the central nervous system and cognitive functions

摘要: 从胰淀素受体表达、信号中通路及对神经元和认知功能调控等方面,分析胰淀素受体在中枢多巴胺系统、去甲肾上腺素系统和5羟色胺系统中的表达,推测其调控大脑儿茶酚胺浓度进而影响神经元活动的作用。探讨胰淀素激活ERK、AMPK、STAT3、Akt等信号通路对神经元活动特性的影响。总结胰淀素在重要脑区对认知功能的调节,同时展望胰淀素在辅助治疗认知功能障碍上的治疗前景。

Abstract: This article reviews amylin actions in the central nervous system in the aspects of receptor expression, signaling pathway and modulation of neuronal activity and cognitive functions. Amylin receptors are expressedin central dopaminergic system, norepinephrinergic system and serotonin system, suggesting a role in modulating the catecholamine concentrations. Amylin activates ERK, AMPK, STAT and Akt signaling pathway to change neuronal activity and modulatecognitive functions in several key brain regions. Activation of amylin signaling pathway in the central nervous system may serve as a novel therapeutic strategy for cognitive dysfunctions.
