Effects of growth regulators on the survival rate of cuttings from lateral branches of Giant reed (Arundo donax) in summer

摘要: 芦竹为禾本科重要的生物能源植物。探讨了不同类型和浓度的植物生长调节剂和生根粉(剂)对芦竹侧枝夏季扦插成活率的影响。以芦竹带有腋芽的当年生侧枝为插穗,用不同浓度的植物生长调节剂吲哚丁酸(IBA)、萘乙酸(NAA)、吲哚乙酸(IAA)以及生根粉(剂)溶液对插穗浸泡2 h后再行扦插,以清水浸泡为对照,15 d后统计侧枝扦插的成活率。结果表明, 与对照相比,不同类型和不同浓度的植物生长调节剂对芦竹侧枝扦插的成活率具有不同程度的促进作用,尤以0.8 mg/L的NAA的促进效果显著,成活率达50.00%。生根粉(剂)也能提高插穗的成活率,0.625 g/L生根粉处理的成活率为40.00%, 1.25 g/L的强力生根剂的效果最好,成活率为43.33%。将优选的生长调节剂和生根粉(剂)组合配合后再处理插穗,其成活率反而普遍下降,成活率最高的组合(0.05 mg/L的IAA与5.0 g/L生根剂)也只有25.00%。因此芦竹夏季侧枝扦插时,宜选用0.8 mg/L的NAA或1.25 g/L的强力生根剂作浸泡液进行预处理,以有效提高扦插的成活率。

Abstract: Giant reed (Arundo donax) is an important bio-energy crop belonging to the Poaceae family. The effects of different types and concentrations of growth regulators and plant rooting powder (agent) on the survival rate of cuttings from lateral branches of this plant were discussed in the present paper. The current-year lateral branches with axillary buds were used as cuttings, and dipped into solutions of IBA, NAA, IAA as well as rooting powder and agent at varied concentrations for 2 hours. Water was employed as the control check. Then the cuttings were planted into the cultivation matrix, and the survival rates were counted 15 d later. The results showed that the growth regulators in different types and concentrations could increase the survival rate of cuttings when compared to the control, in which NAA at 0.8 mg/L exhibited the highest survival rate of 50.00%, significantly higher than other treatments. Similarly, plant rooting powder and agent enhanced the survival rate also, and the rooting powder with a concentration of 0.625 g/L resulted in a rate of 40.00%, while the highest rate of 43.33% was recorded in 1.25 g/L of rooting agent. The growth regulators and rooting agent with optimal effects on cutting rooting were matched up to pre-treat the cuttings. However, the survival rate of the cuttings decreased obviously, with 25% as the highest value in combination of IAA at 0.05 mg/L and rooting agent at 5.0 g/L. Plant growth regulator NAA of 0.8 mg/L or plant rooting agent of 1.25 g/L were suggested to be the optimal solutions in the pretreatment of cuttings from lateral branches of giant reed in summer, which could effectively accelerate the cutting survival rate.
