摘要: 阿尔茨海默病(AD)是一种与年龄相关的神经退行性疾病,至今其发病机制尚未明确,但淀粉样蛋白级联假说在AD发病机制研究中占据主导地位,该假说认为β-淀粉样蛋白(Aβ)过度产生、聚集沉淀是阿尔茨海默病发病的主要原因。儿茶素类物质是一类常见的植物活性成分, 在AD病的防治研究中具有重要意义。对儿茶素类物质基于淀粉样蛋白级联假说对AD的防治作用及其机制进行综述,并对其在应用中存在的问题进行分析,以期为儿茶素类物质在阿尔茨海默病中的深入研究及应用提供参考。

Abstract: tAlzheimer′s disease (AD), the most common form of dementia among the elderly, is characterized by the progressive decline of cognitive function. Increasing evidence indicates that the production, accumulation and aggregation of amyloid β (Aβ) are central to the pathogenesis of AD. Catechins are widespread in the plant kingdom and have been shown to exert neuroprotective activities in AD involving multimodal activities. The therapeutic strategies of catechins for AD targeting amyloid cascade hypothesis are reviewed and the main problems in the further research are discussed, aiming to providing some references for the study and application of catechins in AD.
