Generative AI-assisted project-based learning of Python for biology majors

摘要: 提出一种将生成式人工智能(artificial intelligence,AI)融入项目式教学的教学方法,旨在提升生物类专业学生在Python课程中的学习效率和效果。结果表明,生成式AI能有效协助具备不同编程基础的学生深入理解理论知识,并在实际项目实践中拓宽他们的解题思路,从而激励他们合作完成更具挑战性的项目。这种教学模式有助于学生更好地将Python语言应用于实践,为未来的科研和职业发展奠定坚实基础。

Abstract: This article proposed a teaching method that integrated generative artificial intelligence (AI) into project-based teaching, aiming to improve the learning efficiency and effectiveness of biology majors in Python courses. The results showed that generative AI could effectively assist students with different programming foundations to deeply understand theoretical knowledge and broaden their problem-solving thinking in practical project practice, thereby motivating them to collaborate on more challenging projects. This teaching model helped students better apply the Python language to practice and laid a solid foundation for future scientific research and career development.
