The role and research progress of DREB/CBF transcription factors in plant abiotic stress

摘要: DREB/CBF转录因子即干旱应答元件结合蛋白质/C-重复序列结合子,能特异地结合顺式激活元件DRE/CRT,从而激活植物细胞中与非生物胁迫抗性相关基因的表达,提高植物的抗逆性。系统地介绍了DREB/CBF转录因子的结构特点、功能、物种分布以及信号转导途径,阐述了DREB/CBF转录因子在植物抗逆基因工程育种中的作用、存在的问题,为DREB/CBF转录因子的深入研究和应用提供参考。

Abstract: DREB/CBF (Dehydration responsive element binding protein/C-repeat binding factor)transcription factor, the drought responsive element-binding protein/C-repeat sequence,can specifically interact with the DRE/CRT (Dehydration-responsive element/Cis-acting elements). It activates the expressions of genes associated with abiotic stress resistance in plant cells and thus enhances the plant resistance to various stresses. In this paper, the structure, function, species distribution and signal transduction of DREB/CBF transcription factors were systematically introduced. The roles and existing problems of DREB/CBF transcription factors in plant genetic engineering breeding were discussed.All these above are aimed at providing references for the further research and application of DREB/CBF transcription factor.
