Study on the multiple paternity in the Yangtze vole using microsatellite markers

摘要: 运用微卫星分子标记研究洞庭湖东方田鼠(Microtus fortis calamorum)的多父权行为。利用筛选获得的6对微卫星引物对7只母鼠及其胎崽DNA进行PCR扩增,PCR产物经凝胶电泳和银染后分析,结果表明2只母鼠所怀的胎崽明显具有2个以上的父权现象,其他母鼠所怀的胎崽至少拥有一个父权。研究结果显示东方田鼠存在多父权的婚配制度。

Abstract: A method of microsatellite marker was employed to confirm multiple paternity in the Yangtze vole(Microtus fortis calamorum) distributed in Dongting Lake. Six pairs of primers were screened for better PCR products. After PCR, gel electrophoresis and silver staining, the alleles of seven mothers and their offspring were analyzed. The results showed that two litters were sired by more than two male voles, respectively. Mating behavior of the vole was characterized with multiple paternity.
